Over the centuries, various meanings have been given to flowers. These meanings have developed, changed or been lost altogether through the years.
Of course, flowers only have meaning if the person receiving them understands.
Today, the meaning of giving and receiving flowers is as simple as 'I care for you'.
The flower meanings below are derived from Greek and Roman mythology, the middle ages, the Victorian era and a few from modern day.
Gerbera Red : Unconscious in love Gerbera White : Truth, Innocence Gerbera Yellow : I’ll try harder to win you Gerbera Orange : You’re the sunshine of my life
